In your dashboard under "Aktuelles" you can create new posts. Posts appear on the association profile page and in the regional feed. You can optionally add a location so the post is also visible in the map view.

Yes. Once you have added an address or coordinates to your profile, your association appears as a pin on the map. Visitors can tap the pin to open the profile directly.

Market operators can add your association as a stallholder. Contact the market operator directly or enquire via the platform. After confirmation your association profile appears in the market stallholder list.

What is the difference between an association and a business on ThinkRegio?

Accepted Answer

Businesses are commercial listings (farm shops, village stores, markets etc.). Associations are non-profit or voluntary organisations. Both can use profile, posts, events and Q&A. Associations do not have a Pro subscription option.

What are association offers and how do I find them?

Accepted Answer

Associations can present their programmes and activities as offers – for example courses, meetups or hands-on events. Your region's "Association offers" page lists all active offers from associations.

• Search within your region or around an address.
• Filter by category, target group, frequency or free-only.
• Use the "Register" link to go straight to the association.

As an association you highlight your programme as an offer in the dashboard; this is a paid association feature (see the plan comparison).

How do I add my business?

You can list your business on ThinkRegio for free in just a few steps:

1. Click "Add business" on the homepage or in the menu.
2. Create a free account or sign in.
3. Fill out the form: name, address, category, and contact details.
4. Submit the listing.
5. Our team reviews it and publishes it within 48 hours.

After publishing, you can further edit your listing in the dashboard – opening hours, photos, and more.

What does "claim a business" mean?

Accepted Answer

Some businesses are already listed on ThinkRegio – for example through public data sources or other users. If you are the owner, you can "claim" this listing.

After the claim process, you have full control: you can manage opening hours, description, photos, and contact details yourself.

How it works: visit the business page and click "Are you the owner? Claim this listing". Our team reviews your request and grants you access.

How do I change my opening hours?

You can update your opening hours at any time in the dashboard:

1. Sign in to your account.
2. Go to Dashboard → your business → "Hours".
3. Adjust the opening hours and save.

Changes are visible immediately – no re-review required.

How do I upload photos?

Accepted Answer

You can upload photos in the dashboard under "Photos". Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WebP. Maximum file size: 5 MB per photo.

Please make sure you own the rights to the photos you upload. By uploading, you confirm that ThinkRegio may use the images to display your listing on the platform.

How do I request deletion of my business listing?

Send us an email at support@thinkregio.de with the subject "Delete business" and the name of your business. We will process the request within 30 days.

How can I suggest a new category?

Accepted Answer

When submitting your business, you can suggest a new category if none fits. Select "Suggest new area + category" in the form.

If a suitable main category exists but no sub-category fits, you can suggest a new sub-category specifically. Our team reviews all suggestions and adds suitable categories to the system.

You can suggest an association via the "Suggest an association" page:

1. Choose "Suggest an association" in the menu or go to /verein-vorschlagen directly.
2. Fill in the form: name, address, category and contact details.
3. Submit your suggestion.

Our team reviews the entry and usually publishes it within 48 hours. The association will then appear on the map and on the associations page.

If your association is already listed on ThinkRegio, you can claim the entry.

Visit the association page and click "Are you the contact? Claim this association". Our team reviews your request and grants access.

Once approved, you can manage the description, opening hours, photos, events and posts directly in your dashboard.

What does the Pro package offer?

The Pro package extends your business on ThinkRegio with the following features:

• Digital loyalty card – set up a reward card for regular customers
• Business polls – ask your visitors questions directly on your profile page
• Extended gallery – more photos for a better first impression
• Increased visibility – your business appears highlighted in search results

The Pro package is optional – without it you are still fully discoverable on ThinkRegio. Details and pricing are available in your dashboard.

How do I set up a digital loyalty card?

The digital loyalty card is available for all businesses on ThinkRegio:

1. Open your business in the dashboard → "Loyalty card".
2. Activate the loyalty card and set how many points customers receive per visit.
3. Define one or more rewards (e.g. "10 points = 1 free coffee").
4. Save – your loyalty card is immediately active.

Customers scan their personal QR code at your checkout. You can conveniently process scans using the loyalty checkout in your dashboard.

What are business polls and how do I create one?

With business polls (Pro feature) you can ask your visitors a question directly on your profile page – e.g. "Which product should we offer next?"

How to create a poll:
1. Dashboard → your business → "Polls".
2. Click "New poll".
3. Enter your question and at least two answer options.
4. Publish the poll.

You can see live results in your dashboard. Visitors can vote once per poll.

How do I create a post for my business?

In your dashboard, go to "Aktuelles" and click "New Post". Enter a title, content text, and optionally a location pin. Once published the post appears in the feed and on your business profile.

In your dashboard under "Opening Hours" you can set special hours for individual days. These override the regular weekly schedule. Visitors will see the special hours highlighted on your profile.

In your dashboard settings you can activate the holiday mode. Your profile stays visible but shows a notice that the business is temporarily closed. The mode can be disabled at any time.

How do I offer rescue bags as a business?

Accepted Answer

Rescue bags let you sell surplus instead of throwing it away. In the dashboard open your business → "Rescue bags", create bags with quantity, price and a pickup window, and publish them. Customers pay on collection; you confirm the pickup either at your checkout (via QR/short code) or let customers confirm on site.

Rescue bags are a paid Business feature (included in the Pro plan or bookable as an add-on – see the plan comparison).

How do I create coupons for my business?

1. In the dashboard open your business → "Coupons".
2. Create a coupon – e.g. a discount or a free extra – with an optional expiry date.
3. Save. The coupon appears on your business page and your business becomes findable via the map's "With coupons" filter.

Customers redeem it by showing their personal QR code at your checkout – the same one as for the stamp card.

How do I highlight an offer?

You can mark individual items from your product range as an "offer". They then appear together on your region's offers page and are flagged as an offer on your profile.

1. In the dashboard open your product range.
2. Mark the item as an offer.
3. Save – it is now visible in the region.

Highlighting offers is a paid Business feature (see the plan comparison). Associations can highlight their programme as an offer in the same way.

How do I add delivery and pickup?

You can show how customers can order from or collect at your business.
1. In the dashboard open your business settings, section "Delivery & pickup".
2. Add providers or options with a link (e.g. your order form or a delivery service).
3. Optionally set a delivery radius.
4. Save – the options appear on your business page and your business is marked with "Delivery" on the map.

This feature is free for all businesses.

How do I create a poster or QR flyer?

The poster generator gives you a ready-to-print poster that points your customers to your ThinkRegio listing:
1. In the dashboard open your business → "Create poster".
2. Choose between a "Full poster" (with business info, opening hours and QR code) or a "QR code poster" (just the QR code with the ThinkRegio logo).
3. Download the print-ready PDF and display it in your business.

The poster generator is a Business Pro feature.

Why does the map ask for my location?

Accepted Answer

The map optionally asks for your location to show nearby businesses. Sharing is voluntary – you can use the map without location access.

Your location is not stored and not shared with third parties. It is used exclusively to center the map view.

I cannot find a business.

Accepted Answer

Possible reasons why a business is not found:

• The business has not been listed on ThinkRegio yet.
• The listing has not been approved yet (takes up to 48 hours after submission).
• The business was removed or has closed.

You can submit the business yourself or send us a message.

How do I use the filter search?

On the map you can filter by many categories – from "Farm shop" and "Weekly market" to "Village store" and many more. Click the filter icon or the category chips above the map.

For a more specific search there are extra filters, e.g. radius, "open now", businesses with a stamp card, coupons, rescue bags, seasonal offers or "open for cooperations". Open the advanced search for these.

Yes, ThinkRegio is completely free for visitors. Listing a business or association is also free.

The Pro package is optional — your business is found on ThinkRegio without it too.

Routes are curated multi-stop tours created by businesses or associations, for example a farm trail or a village walk. You can find routes on the map under the Routes layer. Each route shows all stops with descriptions and directions.

Green pins are businesses, blue pins are weekly markets and orange pins are events. Active filters can highlight pins further. Tap a pin to see a quick summary; tap again to open the full profile.

Check that the Businesses layer is enabled in the filter bar. If you are zoomed out too far, try zooming in. Also make sure your browser has location permission or that you have moved the map to the right region.

Tap the location icon on the map to centre it on your position. The map then loads all businesses within a set radius. You can adjust the radius in the filter settings. Only published businesses with coordinates appear.

A claimed profile has been verified by its owner. The owner manages the information directly. Unclaimed profiles are created from public data and may be less up to date. Look for the verified badge on a profile.

ThinkRegio is a Progressive Web App (PWA). After installing it to your home screen, recently viewed pages and map tiles are cached and remain accessible without internet. New data requires a connection to reload.

You reach it from the region page ("Offers in …"). All details and prices are non-binding and are entered by the businesses and associations themselves.

On the "Ideas & improvements" page you can submit suggestions on how to make ThinkRegio better – and vote for other people's ideas.

1. Open the Ideas page and click "Suggest an idea".
2. Enter a short title and an optional description.
3. Submit – after a quick review it becomes public.

An account is required to vote and submit. Ideas that have already been implemented are marked "Implemented".

You can submit a weekly market on ThinkRegio by clicking "Suggest market" on the map. Fill in the form with the market details – location, market times, number of stalls.
